What is Hospice Care?
Hospice care focuses on a person’s quality of life as they near the end of life. Hospice treats the person and the symptoms of cancer, rather than the cancer itself. A team of health care professionals work together to manage symptoms, distress, and spiritual issues. Hospice care is family-centered and includes the person with cancer and loved ones in making decisions and planning care.
We use a team approach utilizing doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains and volunteers who work together to make surepatients maintain dignity, symptom management and control of their care.
